Where the paired (A/B) passage sits

The paired passage — two short passages, A and B, with questions about both — first appeared on 11 June 2007 (Section 4, passage 2). Since then every complete RC section has exactly one, and no earlier section has any.

• Position, over the 47 paired passages in complete sections: passage 3 45%, passage 2 28%, passage 4 21%, passage 1 6%. If you are looking for it, look third.
• Subject, over all 50 distinct paired passages: law 30%, social science 28%, science 24%, humanities 18%.

Counted once per distinct passage, however often it was re-released.
